Beautiful Endings with Cif

On the eve of Mothers' Day, days ago, I woke up a bit earlier than usual to prep the house because I was leaving. I left LB to my 15-year old nephew; yes, a straight boy. No trace of femininity that could make him a dependable baby sitter; but he's a good kuya and he loves my girl so much. I also told him it's like summer job. I paid him for a day's service --- money and the exclusive right to raid our grocery cupboard and ref. Just so you know, that's his first... and last! Hehe. Ubos my stock of cookies. I cooked half a kilo of pork adobo because I know that LB will eat it even without anyone's prodding; they only left me with two small cubes of pork and a teaspoon of sauce. Wow.

Getting Cozy with Cuarto atbp.

Ironically, when we're too drained from mommy/wife duties; we sometimes forget to relax, which we should be doing. Good thing there are women who care enough to open a business meant just for that.

Taken for example is Celeste Goco's Cuarto atbp. I knew about the store when I attended the first Babypalooza Bazaar last year, which roughly was its opening date as well. 35-year-old Celeste started selling room and linen sprays, scented oils, scented candles and bath salt with a capital of Php5,000. As a housewife, she needed something to keep herself busy and found a part of herself with Cuarto atbp. Yes, just a part because she's also one of the people behind the success of Babypalooza Bazaars, which will have its 3rd event on August. Like any newbie entrepreneur, her goal is to be able to market her products to a wider audience that could eventually lead them to opening a physical store.

Well, let's wish nothing but the best for Celeste and Cuarto atbp as she promises to continue innovating their products so she could serve and satisfy customers. I'm sure you're as curious as a cat that I will soon adopt (that's another story!) and would like to experience affordable relaxation right at the comfort of your own homes. I will soon have a giveaway in this blog (yay!), but in the meantime, below are their contact details.

Wanted: Furniture and Appliances

I now have guests here in the house. Remember my fellow army wife kumare that I featured here and here? Her, baby Y and kumpare are now blissfully sleeping inside our room. Yup, LB and I are co-sleeping with them. As much as I want to give them privacy and VIP treatment, we only have one mattress (no bed frame!) and one electric fan. I know it sounded kawawa but hey, we're bonding as a family! Haha! Well, despite the love-hate relationship of my 4-year-old jealousy-stricken preschooler and kumare's 15-month-old innocent toddler, you can never question the friendship.

So after dinner, since kumpare was really sleepy and tired from the long travel, he was sitting in our plastic chair, trying to relax when... BAM! He fell off as one of its feet broke.  Now I realized that we really have lots of things to buy for the house (note that these are not just luho, we really need them to make this home a "normal" place to live in):

Update: Back to Square One

Oh, I miss blogging! This is by far, the most bad trip experience I had with Smart Communications, Inc. I called them up around five times already for what, 3 days, and they still haven’t fixed my internet connection. Super duper kairita. Chos.
So … what’s up nga? And Smart was taking that away from all of us! Boo.

Rayala Dialogues: Mercy Molina Episode

No, Ate Maritess' full name is not Mercy Molina. In our colorful world of bekiness, a helper/maid/nanny can be called Mercy Molina, Mayla Gumila, Yaya Medel or a better term --- ANGEL. And I'm giving my angel a space in my blog because she deserves it! For sure after this post, you will all like her. Basta, don't pirate ha. :)

Last Sunday, I was feeling unwell and asked her to massage my back while watching The Buzz. Ang bagets, busy sa toys niya. The topic was about Julia Barretto, Marjorie Barretto's beautiful daughter. At nauwi kami sa usapang Barretto sisters.
Ate Maritess (AM): Ang ganda ni Julia. Anak nila ni ...
B: Dennis Padilla
(Anong konek, teh?)

A Kingdom Will Never be Complete Without the King

When R and I started dating, we were very sure about our love for each other that we already saw ourselves as husband and wife. But I never really expected that to be his wife entails me to do what I avoided to happen - be a solo parent. Well, geographically. Being a military wife is something I am proud to be. Not all women can achieve to get married, submit to a man, do things by herself and decide on her own all at the same time. Others just get married, you know. ;)

I hope he'll give me a handsome washer and dryer. ;) source
R is currently at "work" and like what his phone told me, "cannot be reached". He's not updated about our moving out/moving in event but he knew that I already found a new place for us. He doesn't know that I bought plastic chairs for our dining area that we could temporarily use along with our glass table. He doesn't know that Sophia recently had her 2nd assessment. He doesn't know that I need him now more than ever (okay - this is an exaggeration). Well, he texted me earlier that I shouldn't wait for him to move out from MIL's house anymore and that I can just hire a closed truck van because he can't come home to help me. Sigh. And what did I just reply? "Okay, ako na bahala."

Bebeng's Bet na Balur

Aside from giveaways, reviews and press releases, I also blog about how my usual life goes. And what? What am I up to? But yes, I will make a short kwento before bumorlog with this snoring froglet. Pramis, short lang 'to. Eto nga, R & I decided that it's time to build our own kingdom. Bubukod kami for the 3rd time!

Perpol House with Mister Suave. Mwah! ♥
You heard it right. We first lived with my mudra nung ako'y hindi pa Mrs. Rayala.

Review: Dishwashing Liquid by Droplets of Nature

If there's one thing I least like with all the domestic motherly brouhahas, that is dishwashing. I remember a time when my younger brother & I fought over dirty dishes. You can make me do the laundry (which I love), cook for a feast or clean the house while a toddler is playing, but it would take time to prod me to wash dirty dishes. I abhor the long time to stand while washing, so when I was a maarte kolehiyala (but a state U student naman), I got a chair & sat while doing it. Whenever Rhambo was home & we don't have a helper, he's the sink-in-charge. I know it's weird that I love doing the laundry but I despise being in the sink with a basin full of greasy plates & forks; but that's me. However, when I don't have Rhambo or a helper around, I have no excuse not to do it.

Thoughtful Tuesday: To Keep or Not To Keep?

Today is Sophia's last day in school for this semester. As Primemont Science School's Preschool Department's sem-ender activity, they had a pajama party. And yes, I am at home --- I was not there to witness her first show & tell. I was not there to take photos and videos of my little tattle-tale. But I asked the new helper (au revoir laundry & dishwashing!) to bring the camera and take photos of my little sleepy head. She brought her dinosaur plushie & Hello Kitty numbers book for their show & tell. When I asked her last night on what to bring for today's activity, she instantly grabbed that book and was in panic mode in looking for Dino, the dinosaur; which, was just inside her "box of surprise" when she went to her "imaginary world."
