Kids, we love your dads because...

source
It's funny when social media geeks create memes that show how responsible and nurturing and focused moms are in rearing their children and dads are... well... I'd leave the adjectives to your judgment. Hehe.

Last month, when we celebrated Mother's Day, the whole world seemed to be in their toes to make mummy happy. Brand campaigns in momma theme were everywhere! In fact, if marketing experts can relate roofs to motherhood, I think they'd dedicate a whole galvanized iron sheet to one mom blogger and send it to her. It is that commercial! This month, there are campaigns for dads, too, of course. But most I see are a bit hoity-toity and have that snob vibe. In short, expensive. That made me think that in reality, they are the more celebrated parent. I love being a mom, there is no question about that, but if I have to live my life again, I guess I'd like to try being a dad (but please, with less hair, especially inside the nose haha).

So as a Father's Day special treat for the underrated parent, I asked some of my fabulous mommy friends to help me change the way the majority look at the men we call daddy, papa, tatay, pop, dada, pudrabelle, ama and whatever you or your kids call them. I'm sure if not all, most of you can relate to what we love about our husbands as a father. After all, we won't be mommies without the daddies! ;)

Joys of Fatherhood

R shared this video on Facebook yesterday and I watched it over and over again. The baby cried for 50 seconds but guess what stopped her? The preview's such a spoiler. Still, you have to watch it. Cuteness overload. ♥♥♥

P.S. My husband tagged me in a comment that said "nakakamiss". Aba, does he miss Sophia being a baby or does he want a new baby? Can you tell him to come home first so we could open the "baby factory"?! LOL

Rhamboisms

I pretty much introduced to you who my husband is since I started this blog, right. I guess if you are a loyal reader, which means you follow me on all of my social media accounts, you most probably have an idea of how he is a person. Yes, he is a military officer. He can be stern and serious and a hell snob of a guy but he really is fun to be with. *it sounded like a sales pitch lol*. Well, I wouldn't marry a nerd rock, just so to convince you. Hehehe. OK, to "support" that statement, I have gathered some of his virtual/visual thoughts --- his isms on his own cyberlandia.

He is a 9Gag fanatic. One day he was home, LB and I started singing Rihanna's Diamonds, so he sung it with us, in this lyrics --- in repetition.

Annoying! Perfectly annoying. But when I saw that he posted this on Facebook, it got me laughing real hard. Bentang-benta. Here's another one. I think it finally dawned on him that his wife will never be as brave as those ladies he met in the Academy, that a single crawling creature can make my world go upside down.

I scream to my diaphragm's delight whenever there's a flying roach. Enough said. Well, he's not all kalokohan all the time. There are times he can be senti or he makes fatherhood seems easy; because we both know he will have a hard time when LB starts entertaining suitors.

source
Is that too much? Sorry LB, we don't care if you will hate us but we have an additional rule: no movie dates until you finish college! Unless you will tag us along. Hehe. *high five, Tatay!* And because he's doing a good job despite being away most of the time, this was my Father's Day gift.

I don't know if he finished this already. I hope I can get to read it before the movie adaptation's premiere on cinemas. Hellooooo, isang jebs ko lang sa CR, tapos ko yan. Hehe. I also gave him this, because I know that he truly, madly, deeply likes this design when I told him about Threadless a year ago.
Uhuh, Tito Rhambo in his late 20s is now wearing glasses with a double chin. Hahaha!

There, that's Ser Chip, er --- Rhambo and his isms in photos. Next time, if there's really one topic that I'd like to share with you that involves something he's good at, I will make him write it. Naku, matindi kapalit nun. So I have to prepare. Hihi. I love you, my Army kind of guy. Come home and magpagulong-gulong tayo sa gabundok kong labahin. :*

Her Superhero

To our King, the fried rice master ---
who bathed my daughter when she was a baby,
who swaddled her better than I did when she had a fever after a vaccine shot,
who lulled her to sleep in Smashing Pumpkins,
who washed her feeding bottles in all his might,
who gave her his shoulder to ride on,
who danced with her whenever she wanted,
who downloads games because he knows it could make her happy,
who loves pink now because we do,
who tries to memorize the characters of My Little Pony,
who proudly asks his men to make a kite for her,
who lets her hold the steering wheel and prepares her for EDSA,
who rattles in fixing his bunks because his princess will arrive,
who laughs with her like there's no tomorrow,
who values his job because he wants to give her the life that she deserves,
who plans beach trips because I gave birth to a water baby,
And most of all -  who proved to her that loving her mother is what he can do best for her. ♥

To my lifetime partner she calls Tatay - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
*The video was my Father's Day gift  last year.
