80s Barbie c/o Hey Little Birdie |
ABS-CBN Publishing, Inc. produces the Barbie Magazine in the country. The first I bought for my little popstar was the Party with the Animals ish. Last Friday, we received a new copy with the theme Dress Up and Party.
LB obviously loved it. She didn't notice that I unpacked a huge plastic pouch of goodies that we picked up at the Customs office earlier that day. She glued her eyes on the stickers, almost literally! I wanted to scrape my scalp out of madness upon explaining to her that ABS-CBN Publishing used a high-quality material for the stickers that it sticks like a leech. I diverted her attention to its other pages so I could do other things at home, and give her some alone time. She had her monologues again as if she can actually read already. Well, I might scan read it when she's in school, so we have something new to talk about.
Below is the official press release of Barbie Magazine for its March issue.

Its cute as to how the tradition of barbie continues with your kid. I think the barbie dolls is a like a right of passage for a girl somehow. A moment in their lives where they get to dream of fairytales and prince charmings. :)
DeleteI've never owned one - original or otherwise! :) In fact, when I was a little girl, I didn't like her. I don't know why, can't actually remember anymore. Maybe because she has an abnormally-tiny waist hahaha
ReplyDeleteBut yes, my little one's so into it. Not on the actual doll but on her merchandise and DVDs. Barbie really has that girl appeal/ power.
you're daughter looks like she loves the barbie magazine with so much color in it.
ReplyDelete:) I didn't have dolls while growing up. I mostly favored boy games and playing outside. I can't imagine what have happened if my kid was a girl instead of boy. I probably wouldn't know how to deal with her :P I don't even know how to use make-up and I'm a t-shirt and pants kind of girl :P But I like to see little girls all dolled up :) I just wouldn't know how to do it myself.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that you bought LB the barbie mag.. :) Barbie is so beautiful...Sigh :P
my daughter love barbie too and i guess she will be thrilled to see this one.
ReplyDeleteI don't own a barbie when I was a kid, by the way your daughter seems to love the magazine..
ReplyDeleteShe is so precious. I bet she loves her Barbies, my girls have numerous Barbie dolls, but most of the time they play hair parlor and they cut the dolls hair, or they put nail polish on them or they tie their hair and such.. :)

Little girls love barbies! It reminds me when my sister had a barbie and i really wanted one too. Unfortunately, I never had one. Now, I could give one to my daughter but she was still too young for it. So glad your daughter had barbie and i'm sure she had a blast!
ReplyDeleteMy niece in law gave my daughter a full box of barbie dolls but she seldom play with them. She is more into mind games stuff. Your daughter would look good in a barbie costume I believe.
ReplyDeletecute doll. I love Barbie Dolls, they are really a perfect toy for our darling little girls
ReplyDeleteoh so cute! I remember owning a barbie when I was a kid. I don't know if it survived or what in my parents house. your daughter looks so excited!
ReplyDeleteAy naman, this brings back memories Ms. Bebeng!
ReplyDeleteI will buy that magazine for my daughter! I know she'll love it!
ReplyDeletemy son love cars magazine.. but if i'll just have a lass surely she'll this too
